The ceramics festival

  Boleslawiec has for centuries fostered its ceramic traditions. In the past, local potters repeatedly gave expression on the pride they took in their mastery of the "art of fire", which also brought them considerable incomes. They were also prone to seize any opportunity to show off their skills. Ceramics fairs at which the numerous plants active in the town and vicinity presented their products where very popular among local residents before we war.

  The Ceramics Festival takes place in Boleslawiec every year, in the last week of August. At that time all the factories of our town put up ceramic stalls around the Town Square. All the visitors can buy the ceramic directly from factories and also watch how the ceramic was created in the past. Apart of that various artists and musicians perform on the stage, there are many competitions open to all the visitors and many other attractions.
